  • Setup and ran QUID – a Toronto-based micropayments processor operating in Canada and the US – performing all personnel, finance, customer support, legal, and regulatory functions.
  • Led the initial incident mitigation, all remediation activities, and the subsequent investigation and compliance activities in response to one of the highest profile security breaches in history.
  • Designed and led the implementation of a payment processing environment, taking the project from inception to passing a PCI Level 1 audit in 9 months.
  • Implementation of NIST Cybersecurity and Privacy by Design frameworks, achieving audited compliance for both.
  • Migrated a 150+ person, multiple-location company from a hosted Exchange environment to G Suite with no service interruptions, resulting in significant cost savings and increased productivity.
  • Planned and executed numerous complex data centre migrations while maintaining minimal downtime and mitigating business impact.
  • Selected and managed the implementation of several cloud-based corporate and call centre voice solutions.
  • Designed and led a DDoS mitigation implementation across two data centres, completing the entire effort within 48 hours and with minimal downtime.
  • Developed a pay-per-use public Wifi hotspot proof-of-concept application on a Raspberry Pi using Node.js, iptables, and QUID.
  • Completed 20 marathons and finished 335th in the 2006 Philadelphia Marathon with a personal best time of 3:08.
